Our Mission
Compassion, Care, Healing, Hope
St. Francis Kijaguzo Health Centre III exists to bring accessible, high-quality healthcare to the people of Nakaseke District — delivered in the spirit of compassion at the heart of the Kasana–Luweero Diocese.
Our History
From a parish idea to a district health centre
A parish priest's vision
The idea for a health facility in Kijaguzo was first initiated by parish priest Rev. Fr. Charles Ssenkungu, who began construction with the support of local parishioners.
Limited finances, undeterred faith
With funding stretched thin, Fr. Ssenkungu was unable to complete the project alone — but the work he started did not stop there.
Caritas Kasana–Luweero steps in
Caritas Kasana–Luweero took over the project and secured the donor support needed to see it through, partnering with German organisations ZFK e.V. and BMZ.
Doors open to the community
St. Francis Kijaguzo Health Centre III was completed and formally opened by the Rt. Rev. Bishop Paul Semogerere of the Kasana–Luweero Diocese — and has been serving patients ever since.
Why Kijaguzo
Healthcare grounded in trust
Rooted in Community
Founded by a local parish priest and built with the support of parishioners — this Centre has always belonged to Kijaguzo first.
Guided by Faith
Operated under the Kasana–Luweero Diocese and Caritas, care here is offered in a spirit of compassion, not just treatment.
Open to All
While Nakaseke District is home base, the Centre regularly welcomes and treats patients from surrounding districts too.
